Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how I handle personal data on andrew.khanoff.com. Engagements contracted through Upwork are additionally subject to Upwork’s own privacy policy.
Who I am
I am Andrew Khanoff, an independent freelance engineer. For any privacy question or request, contact andrew@khanoff.com.
Information I collect
- Contact form — the name, email address and message you choose to submit.
- Usage data — collected automatically for security and analytics: approximate location derived from your IP address, browser, operating system and device type, the referring page, pages viewed, and your IP address. This is retained for about 90 days.
- Cookies / analytics — optional and consent-based for visitors in the EU/EEA/UK; privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics may be used.
How I use it
To respond to your enquiry, to operate, secure and improve the website, and to understand aggregate traffic. I do not sell your personal data.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Legitimate interests (site security and analytics), your consent (analytics cookies, which you can decline), and taking steps at your request prior to a possible contract.
Sharing
Limited service providers process data on my behalf: the hosting provider, Telegram (to notify me of your message), and an analytics provider. Data relating to an engagement on Upwork is processed by Upwork under its own terms. Providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email andrew@khanoff.com to exercise these rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
I apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
I may update this policy; the revised version will be posted here with a new date.
