Self-hosted energy-monitoring portal

A private dashboard turning live inverter and battery telemetry into cost insight and alerts.

Problem

Off-grid and hybrid power setups expose plenty of telemetry but no usable view: no history, no cost model, no warning before a battery bank degrades or the grid drops.

Approach

Inverter and home-automation telemetry is ingested on a fixed cadence into a time-series store. A role-gated portal renders dashboards, computes a two-zone, DST-aware electricity tariff from the import series, and raises alerts on anomalies — all self-hosted behind authenticated access with a full audit trail.

Outcomes

  • Continuous visibility into generation, consumption and battery state of health
  • Automated day/night tariff split with no manual meter reading
  • Status-change alerts delivered to chat within seconds of the event
  • A single self-hosted portal in place of several disconnected vendor apps
